Round two of this season’s East Yorkshire Cross Country League took place staged at Welton by Goole Viking Striders and neighbouring club Selby Striders.

Last Sunday saw 342 runners involved, with Max Price continuing his great form over the trails and being the first strider to cross the line, finishing in 7th place overall. On the female side, Kasia Szalecka put in a great performance and was the first female from the group to cross the line, 3rd in her age group. Some great age group performances also came from Richard Ruston, Brendan Shipley and Julie Masterman, all who finished in the top ten for their ages. Randy Bainbridge and Brendan Shipley made their East Yorkshire XC debuts, and a thanks is given to the marshals that make the events possible. The club would also like to thank their cross country captain, Richard Bramham, for his time and efforts into making sure the club can take part in the EYXC league.
